The most obvious and least time consuming route is to fly to Bangkok International airport.
There are many connecting flights departing Bangkok an Phuket airports daily (Bangkok Airways)
to the neighbouring island of Koh Samui. From that it is only a short speed boat ride to
Koh Tao. If catching a flight to Koh Samui is a little expensive for your budget it is easy
enough to book a seat on a train or air-conditioned bus to the ferry ports of Chumpon or
Surat Thani. Travel-agents and guest houses are abundant in Thailand and will happily book
you a ticket for train, bus and ferry all the way to Koh Tao. You will find that is easy on
