The Divemaster program is a performance based program divided into 3 modules;

  • Knowledge Development
  • Waterskills & Stamina
  • Practical Application

You can complete the Divemaster program in 4 - 6 weeks. There is plenty of time to assist, fundive and to gain the 60 dives necessary for certification.

We pride ourselves at New Way with our structured Dive master program, aimed at giving full support yet independence in learning in and out of the water.

To qualify to enter the PADI Divemaster program an individual must be a Rescue diver or equivalent, have completed and logged at least 20 dives, be over 18 years old and be willing to have lots of fun!

During the program you will learn to independently guide fun divers, assist instructors on all PADI courses, become part of the New Way team and involved in the efficient running of the boat and shop.

You will complete knowledge reviews and exams in the following areas:

  • Divemaster Conducted Programs
  • Supervising Certified Divers
  • Assisting with Student Divers in training
  • Physics
  • Physiology
  • Equipment
  • Dive Skills and the Environment
  • Decompression Theory and the Recreational Dive Planner

You will also design an emergency assistance plan, map a dive site, and be assessed on a number of stamina and water skills. On completion join the ranks of the PADI professionals!
